Dr. Coté will be joining the TransFamily Alliance community to discuss transitional opportunities for transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive young adults.
Virtual Gathering Description
The years after high school are an exciting time full of discovery, possibility, and growth for late teens and young adults. They are navigating new social relationships, worldviews, work, play, and intersectional identity development processes. This interactive gathering will focus on supporting the families of intersectionally diverse transgender, gender expansive, and non-binary young adults who may be entering the first-year college experience or the full-time/part-time workplace.
Based on Dr. Coté’s clinical, community, and supervision experiences and the developmental literature, we will discuss the common pain points and ways to nurture resilience and empowerment for gender-diverse young people. Lastly, Dr. Coté will provide community-based resources to support people navigating these transitional years as they move toward health, wellness, and wholeness.
