Dr. Coté will be providing this training for medical providers and mental health professionals addressing culturally competent mental health care for transgender and gender expansive students. We will discuss the the most recent Standards of Care (Version 7) as established by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and how these standards apply to services at the University of California, Davis Health and Counseling Services. Participants will learn about the clinical and gatekeeping issues associated with providing care to these communities, as well as current standards in providing care to gender non-binary individuals.
